First choose the area that interests you, then the time you would like to devote to it. Both Ramon Crater and Sde Boker offer two-hour tours and four-hour half-day tours. Every option is private and guided: the jeep makes it possible to reach landscapes and places of interest, and the guiding connects what you see with the stories of the desert.
Step 1 · The area

For those who want to understand how the crater formed, look at the colourful rock layers and connect the wider landscape with the details along the way. Tours depart from Mitzpe Ramon; choose the tour length according to the time and depth you would like to devote to getting to know the crater.

For those who want to discover the landscapes and less familiar corners around Sde Boker. On the two-hour tour, we choose stops in the Boker, Halukim and Hatira ridge area according to your interests, the season and conditions. Four hours allow more time for guiding and the choice of whether to include Ein Akev. There is also a separate two-and-a-half-hour outing devoted to the spring.
Step 2 · Time and pace
A focused introduction
For those who want to include a guided tour in a short visit to the area: head into the landscape, stop for explanations and get to know the stories of the places you encounter. Choose a route in Ramon Crater or Sde Boker.
More time to explore in depth
For those who want to devote half a day to the desert and get to know their chosen area more fully: more stops and scenery, stories of nature and history along the route, and more time for guiding and questions. Options are available in both Ramon Crater and Sde Boker.
The best of both worlds
For those who want to devote a day to the desert and connect two areas: the landscapes of Ramon Crater and the Zin Valley, with guiding, viewpoints and an introduction to the route between them. Tours can depart from Mitzpe Ramon or Sde Boker.
How do we tailor the choice to you? Tell us where you are staying, how much time you have, what interests you and your walking preferences. The amount of walking depends on the route, not only on the length of the tour; outings to Ein Akev include walking to the spring. Each tour page describes its stops and the nature of the activity, and the list also includes other routes alongside these options.
We build the route together with you
Is there a subject that interests you or a special area you would like to explore? Together we will build a private tour around your interests, available time and group — with guiding that gives meaning to the landscape and the stories along the way.

A route and guiding that follow the Incense Routes and the stories of travel through the desert.
A tour focused on the subjects and sites we choose together.
Landscapes and places you would like to explore, with time to look closely and learn more.
The route, tour length and price are determined by our planning together.
It depends on the route. At Ein Akev, the walk from the day parking area to the spring takes about 10 minutes each way and has no shade. The separate two-and-a-half-hour tour includes driving, walking and time at the spring. On the four-hour Sde Boker tour, we choose together whether to include it. Each route description explains the nature of the activity.
Ramon Crater tours start and finish in Mitzpe Ramon. Meeting points around Sde Boker are agreed in advance; the separate Ein Akev tour starts in Midreshet Ben-Gurion. The combined full-day tour can start in either area. Other nearby pick-up and drop-off points may be arranged in advance.
Start with the area and duration. Tell us your party size, children’s ages and walking preferences so we can agree on a suitable route and vehicle.
A standard jeep has space for the guide, who also drives, and six passengers. Vehicles for seven or eight passengers in addition to the driver are also available; the right vehicle for your party must be arranged with the office.
Send us your preferred date, party size, children’s ages and the area that interests you. We will help you choose a suitable route.
