Two and a half hours devoted to Ein Akev

A private outing from Midreshet Ben-Gurion for visitors who would like to spend their time at Ein Akev spring. You can swim in its natural pool; bring a swimsuit and towel if you would like to enter the water.

Two and a half hours is the total duration: driving, walking, time at the spring and the return journey. The jeep and guiding are reserved for your party.

How is the time divided?

Driving

Approximately 40 minutes each way between Midreshet Ben-Gurion and the Ein Akev day parking area.

Walking

About 10 minutes each way from the day parking area to the spring and back.

At the spring

The remaining time is available at the spring, including swimming if you choose. Driving and walking times are approximate.

This outing focuses on Ein Akev. We add a guided stop at a viewpoint along the way only if time allows.

Important information before visiting

Sun and shade: there is no shade on the walk to the spring or back. The area around the spring may also be without shade, depending on the hour and season.
Deep water: the pool is very deep, more than 7 metres.
Swimming and supervision: swimming is at guests’ own responsibility. Children require close supervision and remain the responsibility of their parents or accompanying adults.

Does two and a half hours include everything?

Yes. This is the complete outing, including the return drive from Midreshet Ben-Gurion, the walk and time at the spring.

How much driving and walking is there?

Approximately 40 minutes’ driving each way to the day parking area, followed by about 10 minutes’ walking each way to the spring and back.

How long is left at the spring?

The time remaining after driving and walking can be spent at the spring. Journey and walking times are approximate.

Can we swim, and what should we bring?

Swimming is possible. Bring a swimsuit and towel if you would like to swim. Please read the information about shade, depth and supervision above.

Do we visit other sites?

This outing is devoted to Ein Akev. A guided viewpoint stop is added only if time allows.
