Solar observation — a desert experience.

Dreaming of a special experience? Have you ever observed the closest star to Earth? Our solar observation activity in the desert is just for you! Step away from your routine and join us for a relaxing, fascinating observation under the open desert sky — an experience to remember forever.

We begin at a viewpoint overlooking the different facilities of the National Solar Energy Centre, which has several power stations generating electricity from the Sun’s rays. The observation includes a detailed, fascinating explanation of the different technologies used to produce electricity from solar radiation.

We continue with solar observation using a highly sophisticated telescope that allows us to see this special star, with explanations of what is visible through the telescope and of stars in general.

The observation takes place near Ashalim — no off-road vehicle is needed. The activity lasts about an hour and a half and can take place between 09:00 and 14:30.

Price: ₪1,550 for up to 10 participants.
